Google Maps: Get LatLng
From Geospike DocWiki
It's easy to get a latitude, longitude (lat, lng) coordinate out of Google Maps – but you need to enable the feature manually.
Steps:
- Ensure you are logged in at http://maps.google.com/ with your Google Account
- Visit this URL: http://maps.google.com/maps?showlabs=1 this will bring up the Google Maps Labs options
- Scroll and enable LatLng Marker
- Now on the map, right click anywhere and select 'Drop LatLng Marker'
- And now you have a marker! You can select & copy the coordinate if you like.
If you need to correct a spike, you can use these coordinate and input them in directly!
